Central  Insurance  Company  Limited   is  exclusively  owned   and managed  by  the Dawood  Group. Central Insurance Company was incorporated  as  a  public  limited  company on April 23, 1960. The company  is  engaged  in  the  non-life  insurance business since its inception.

In  the  early  1960's  the  company  operated in all major cities of Pakistan  and  transacted  all   conventional   forms   of   insurance
covers  successfully.  In  the  1960's   and   1970's   the  company transacted  more  than  half  of the   market  business.  Later  due  to  strategic decisions   the   company  confined  its  operations  to  look  after the Dawood Group business only.

Lately,    the  management  has  assumed  the   responsibility   to undertake market business, and satisfactory results during recent periods  have  demonstrated  the  inherent  strength and financial stability of  the company.
